THIS JUST IN

I just found a wallet.  NO JOKE.  Outside the library not even ten minutes ago.  I returned it (probably not worth mentioning right here at this point that there was no money inside) and was reminded that the best things in life are FREE.  Free like the joy you feel when returning an abandoned wallet with no money in it to the rightful owner who is in an electric wheelchair.  Better luck next time.

  1. I found a wallet 2 summers ago that was moneyless with 17 expired coupons for chipotle and a salvation army id card saying the man who lost it was homeless, handicapped, and non-english speaking. I can totally relate to the excitement of finding it, the disappointment of the contents, the internal struggle of whether its even worth turning in, and the satisfaction of "doing the right thing." all of the above.

  2. No kidding. We lead parallel lives, Christa. For the most part.
